BIOGRAPHY:

Crystal-Donna Roberts, a South African actress and TV presenter, is best known for featuring in popular films such as Krotoa, which won her the 2018 SAFTA for the Best Actress in a Feature Film. Acting has been in her blood and something she has always wanted to pursue from a young age. As fate had it, she managed to venture into the entertainment world, and she is doing wonders.

Education: She attended The University of the Free State between 2003 and 2005. While there, she pursued a degree in Drama and Theatre Arts. This education fine-tuned her passion for acting, which made her appear in theatre productions, such as Romeo & Juliet, where she played the role of Juliet.

Career breakthrough: In 2009, Roberts started freelancing as a professional actor. She continued practising and perfecting her art, and that saw her land big roles. In 2009, she appeared in 7de Laan, where she played the role of Bijou in the first season of the SABC1 drama series. Later on, in the following year, she played the role of Charmaine Willemse in Vallei van Sluiers in the kykNET drama series.

She was also featured in Skeem in 2011, Chronicle in 2012, The Endless River in 2015, and her award-winning role in Krotoa in 2017. In 2018, she had a starring role as Liesl in the kykNET sitcom Mense Mense.
